Great group of people. The Liquid fertilizer barge service is top notch. Larry Walker and all the tankermen, capitins, pilots and deck hands really work together amd hard to get the transfer done safely and fast. No messing around, when they hit the dock and everyone on the boat comes out and gets things tied off and set up for transfer, if they have a issue everyone helps to get it resolved. Where I work we have a few different barge services come in and discharge and Southern is by far the best it takes them half the time to discharge then others. I would give them 10 stars.

We were cold and troubled as a tire blow out broke a brake line and stranded! The tow driver was patient,helpful,towed the truck AND my family of 6 to our front door...can't thank God enough for them!

This is a excellent place to work. Very family oriented. They actually care about you as an employee and not just what you can do for them. It is a very demanding job but you are very well compensated. I've been here going on 10 years now and I wouldn't even consider working somewhere else. This is where I will retire from!!
