About Walmart Vision & Glasses

Walmart Vision & Glasses provides eye exams and eyewear with mixed customer experiences regarding service and product longevity. Many reviews note positive interactions with specific, friendly, and helpful staff members, including the eye doctor, who is described as good. One staff member is highlighted as amazing, super nice, and professional, contributing to a fast and efficient process for ordering and receiving glasses, which can be ready in as little as three days. The location offers a good selection of frames and can have significantly cheaper prices for lenses compared to other locations, which is appreciated by customers without vision insurance. However, there are consistent criticisms. Several customers report problems with lenses becoming badly scratched within just a few months, contrasting with previous pairs that lasted years, and express frustration that the business would not stand behind the product or offer help. Service can be inconsistent; some encounters involve staff perceived as rude or unhelpful, with instances of poor organization, such as being open but unable to process orders. There are also accounts of staff appearing unwilling to work, gossiping, or having computers turned off. While many recommend the business for its price ranges and specific excellent employees, the quality of the lenses and variability in customer service are noted concerns.

UPDATE: I recently got my new glasses from the Walmart in Paris and I can finally see! Also, I can now see how bad the previous lenses are (6 months old) and it is all the scratch coat that's messed up! Shame on you Walmart-Martin for not standing behind your product!

I had a fairly good experience with the eye doctor and the staff, so that's the 3 stars, from there it gets pretty bad. I went for my eye exam and Dr. Kimmer was good. I needed to save a little more money to purchase progressive lenses (expensive) for my existing frames so, I didn't get them that day.

I came back to order my lenses and decided on a cheaper lense than the Zeiss lenses I had...read full review

When I went in January 2023 for my eye appointment I had gotten there about 20 minutes early and the doctor told me I was not early but in fact was over an hour late (I was not) and he was just kind of rude to me.Went there on 5-20-23 to get a pair of glasses and was told I couldn’t because no one was there that could actually help me with ordering a pair but that I could look at the frames (even though I literally had already looked and picked a pair out) The lady there said I could come back on Monday when her supervisor (Cindy) would be there to help me. Why would you be open if the only thing customers can do is look at the frame options? The woman there (she has...read full review

I have had mostly positive experiences with the optometrist (Dr. Kimmer) and Walmart Vision and Glasses people--esp Cindy and Linda. They are friendly and helpful people. I can only think of one time when I had a negative experience, but even that was not a horrible experience. No one has been rude to me at all.
