Hixson Pet Wellness Center is hands down the best vet around. The folks there are awesome, caring, and experienced people with a true concern and love for animals. From the second you walk in the door, the staff is kind, helpful, and leaves a positive impression. They are extremely knowledgeable, gentle, and thorough. The team truly cares about pets and what is best for them, not trying to sell things that are not needed. They treat every pet like their own, building trust with clients who return for all their care. The practice is known for its honesty and for saving clients money and risk when possible.
I can't believe I didn't know about this fantastic vet clinic until recently. My former pets always went to the (more corporate owned) big groups in town, and I always felt rushed and like my pets were not important to them. That is not true for this small, family-owned clinic. They practice western and integrated medicine, so if you prefer a more holistic approach, they've got your back! If you prefer traditional medicine, they do that as well! Plus, they are so much more affordable than what I was paying before. Not to mention, they are a fear-free certified practice.
The folks at Hixson Pet Wellness are awesome. My cat was scheduled for a dental procedure that required anesthesia but they realized that he was allowing them to do their work without any anesthesia. They quickly found no problems and cancelled the procedure, saving me hundreds and the risk to the cat. A huge thank you to the whole team there!
