I got my locs retwisted, shampooed, and styled by Ms.Gloria aka/ theblaquemosiac. She was very professional and very kind. “I just had one of the best experiences ever with hair technician Michelle Stone. I sent an artist to get a bleach retouch done that we've had issues with in the past. She completely took so much care and concern making sure that the bleach blonde came out of the salon still having hair!Bleach retouches are a difficult thing to find someone to do in this town. We are so grateful to have Michelle with her years of experience and expertise. “Had a VERY long wait before my flight, so happy I decided to make an appointment online. Super easy but you do pay upfront to confirm appointment (adjusted in salon based on actual services). There is some onstreet parking and a lot across the street I think. The salon is small (6 chairs or so, 2 Mani/pedi stations) but clean and bright. The colorful wallpaper was a personal favorite. It smells lovely, they sell some candles they were burning.Jenny Calderon is back from California and had an opening this morning. She took time with my consult to really understand what I wanted. It was time intensive but I expected that for a double process job. Jenny also gave a great wash. Services were reasonably priced and staff and other clients were very friendly. I didn't feel pressured to purchase other products or services (though I did buy a bauble).Boy am I THRILLED with my cut, color and style!! My rose-gold colors are beautiful and I've already gotten compliments at the airport before my flight. I highly recommend. If I'm ever back in Nashville, I'll be returning.“
“I was impresed with Shala's Instagram pics and ratings. I was beyond excited to get the microbladiing. My natural brows stop at about 2/3 to where they should end. My first visit went fine but the brows were seriously uneven. Not 100% her fault...I told her I had a botox treatment beforehand and she said that was fine. On my 2nd visit I asked for her to even them out by raising one to match the other. She was visibly annoyed at my request but she did what I asked and it's now even looking; however, my brows are completely filled in with no strokes except for 2 at the inside of just my left brow. I also asked for them to be extended a tiny bit but she didn't think it was a good idea. My brows are definitely better than they were before and they are positioned well now. I just expected strokes and I still think they should be extended a tiny bit to align with the edge of my nose and eye.I was also wondering how and at what stage she chooses to photograph and post her clients' photos on her Insta. It makes me wonder if she didn't feel like her work on me made the cut.“
