Malone's Wrecker Service

THEFT WARNING!! I wish I could give a good review but I simply can't. It made me pick a star in order to post this or I wouldn't have picked one at all. I DO NOT RECOMMEND MALONE'S. We were involved in a car accident on July 15th at 630 pm. The officer on scene called Malone's to tow our truck. Our truck was taken to the tow yard & I called first thing Saturday morning to see if we could go get our personal belongings out of the truck. The guy that answered said they were closed & we had to wait until Monday. Naturally, we both had to work Monday so we went around 3:30 pm to get our belongings. When I first got there, I asked one of the employees where I needed to go & he said "are you sure we have your truck?" I said "Yes I'm sure". Right away, I got a very uneasy feeling about this. But I checked in at the office & when we drove back to our truck, we seen one of our smaller tool kits underneath our truck. Right off the bat, not a good sign. I looked inside only to find the dash popped off, the wires hanging out & the radio missing! After looking around, I realized there were a few other things missing as well. When we were gone gathering our things, we went back up to the office & I questioned what happened to the radio. The guy in the office said they were closed all weekend & the truck was guarded by 2 gates but that doesn't stop people from hopping over the gate. I said something needs to be done about this. The radio was there when it was towed. At some point between Friday evening & Monday afternoon, someone got in our truck & stole things. That's not right!!We were told to call the owner the next day. My boyfriend did & he was given the run around. He was told the guy he needed to talk to was Mike & was told to call back on Wednesday @ 9am. He did & was transferred to Mike's line. There was no answer & get this.. voicemail box was full! Imagine that! Never did get a hold of them & eventually he just gave up trying, knowing this was never going to be made right. This is absolutely ridiculous. We already went through the accident itself & then this happens. Unreal. Our truck was in Malone's possession when the theft occurred & they won't do anything about it! Everyone I've talked to about this situation believes it was an inside job & I'm thinking they are right. I fully believe this was an inside job & they are just covering for an employee. So if you use this wrecker service & you need a vehicle towed to their lot, you better remove everything including apparently a radio or they will do it for you!! It doesn't matter if it's just a simple ordeal or the vehicle gets smashed. If it's in their lot, they consider it theirs & will do whatever they want with it. Then they will give you the run around & never make it right. I will never use this wrecker service again & I absolutely DO NOT recommend using them!!
