“I'd like to thank Meredith Tree Service for helping us preserve a little part of Cookeville's history today. A large Sycamore tree that provided shade at the Darwin School in the West End neighborhood had be to cut down last year. This company helped us remove a big section of the stump and deliver it to Brad Sells so that he can turn it into a piece of art that will go back to the community. He was easy to work with efficient and did a great job. He donated his equipment and time in an effort to give back to this community. I think that shows a lot of heart and I appreciate companies like that so much!
This account represents friends of trees and forests, so we don't always celebrate when they have to be removed, even though we recognize the public safety aspect. Hopefully, this work will be a tiny step toward healing the loss of the history that goes along with large old trees in our parks and playgrounds.“
