My hair has been a lifelong struggle. I grew up being told to straighten it because it made it easier for everyone to deal with; I was told it looked more professional and cleaner. As I got older, though, I realized my curls were a gift from my genetics, and I wanted to give them the care they deserved. After years of debating, I finally found a stylist specializing in curly hair. September is kind and interesting with a real passion for what she does. Finally, I was in the chair of someone who knew what she was doing, and it almost felt like… I don’t know. Is it dramatic to say it felt like a miracle?
