“My mother and I have been going to Mitchell’s Salon for over 17 years, since I was around 11 years old. I’ve had manicures, pedicures, haircuts, highlights, toners and lowlights done there. Marcus even did my hair for my junior prom.

Now I live in New York City; I’ve been here for the past five years. I’m a professional musician and a graduate of the Juilliard School. I’ve been to some of the top-rated, most ritzy salons in Manhattan - I’ve been getting my hair cut at Blandi at the Plaza Hotel, to the horror of my bank account, because I care about my hair. And I mean it when I say that no one - NO ONE cuts hair like Marcus does.

Marcus does not impose his own ego onto your hair. He will tell it to you straight up what it needs, and do whatever he can possibly do to make sure you get the result you want while keeping your hair healthy. He will not give you some ridiculous style that doesn’t suit your unique personality. Marcus is an artist more than just a hair stylist. He understands geometry, form and angles. His style is timeless, elegant and clean. His approach is unique to each client and he understands the intricacies of working with weird hair like mine. Every single time Marcus cuts my hair I walk out of there feeling like a million bucks, like I’ve grown an entirely new head of hair - no matter how damaged it was when I walked in. It’s unbelievable. Even when I’m nervous about having it shorter, I always feel worlds better no matter how many inches we end up cutting off because it looks and feels so damn good. It grows like a curtain after he cuts it. Like a weed. It stays healthy for months even with all the heat styling and other crap that I do to it. It boosts my confidence and gives my hair this incredible attitude of its own. It also practically maintains itself after he cuts it, making my daily life significantly easier.

I’ve decided that I’m going to quit seeing my celebrity stylist and save my haircuts for trips back home to East Tennessee, because for a fraction of the cost that I pay for a cut in NYC, a haircut by Marcus is at least as good as 10 of them. I honestly believe the best haircut anywhere might be in Clinton, TN.“

“Dr. Wes never fails me. He has helped me heal thru many injuries throughout the years. The most recent is a torn tendon in my foot. I limp in with pain and walk out with 90% improvement. And he never pushes me to get more treatments, in fact, most times he tells me to wait and that I probably wont need another.
