The store is well-organized, and the prices are reasonable and based on the condition of the vinyl. First-time visitors may find it superior to other music stores, such as McKay's. Overall, For The Record is a hidden gem for vinyl collectors, offering a great selection, reasonable prices, and exceptional customer service.
Probably my favorite place in Chattanooga maybe even Tennessee. Amazing selection of albums from LPS to 10" to 45s. Every genre you can think of can be found here and if they don't have it they'll order it for you. I'm a collector of vintage music and they are by and far the best store I've been to. They don't have much of a CD selection so don't expect too much there but you're not likely to be looking for cds if you come here! All the staff are super knowledgeable and helpful also they couldn't be more friendly. I'd give 'em 100 stars if I could.
With all that said; just go shop there, support local business and walk away with some groovy tunes! ?
I’ll never go to McKay’s again thanks to this place. Been a customer for a few years now and the organization is easy to navigate, selection is always changing/new and includes original as well as new pressings, prices are perfectly reasonable and affordable. And the best part is these people know their stuff and have a love for their work and music. Shoutout to Dennis for being extremely friendly and helpful, you rock!
Great selection's, great staff and well organized layout! The prices are reasonable and based on the conditions of the vinyl. I have bought vinyl from coast to coast in my travels and since I moved here and retired 2 years ago, I was thrilled to discover this hidden gem! Kyledawg
