I chose to call to request the inspection (rather than schedule ) so I could talk over the options. The person in the office (Jessica), was knowledgeable and pleasant.
As Malcolm Godwin says on their website, they are more expensive, but they do a better job. The house we had put an offer on was just at the age where HVAC, roof, etc. needed to be replaced. My husband and I have purchased at least 13 homes, in 5 different States, all with home inspections. Chattanooga Home Inspectors was the most thorough we've ever used. The report would fill a 1 inch binder. We actually backed out of first purchase and found a better house because of their spotting some worrisome matters in the foundation.
We liked them so much we got them to inspect our next prospective house, and we know we bought the right house this time.
