I went Thursday for the beginner hip hop and had so much fun! I was scared of going in by myself and not knowing anyone. I talked myself into driving an hour and a half away from Cookeville to be here. I thought the absolute worst would happen and I would mess up after not being in a dance class for 6 years. I finally caught on and met some amazing people and Jordan is amazing!
We were invited by a friend to try out the beginner hip hop class on Saturday night. My daughter is 11 years old, loves to dance, but I have never allowed her to attend a dance class because of my previous personal experience with dance classes for kids focused on makeup, and dance costumes and dance moves that I don't consider appropriate for my daughter. LET ME TELL YOU THIS IS LITERALLY THE BEST THING I EVER SIGNED MY DAUGHTER UP FOR! Area 54 is completely life changing and the environment is full of positivity and support. I feel so loved and accepted every time I come to class. This studio has also allowed me to regain my passion for hip hop and work on strengthening my on-camera training! I had never danced in front of a videographer before, but Area 54 has helped me to build up confidence with it!
At my studio, you reach a point where you are required to take certain classes and hip hop is not part of the schedule. We also don’t have any places like Area 54 where I live!
