“I used to go Suburban in the '70's but my job took me away from here. I retired and in 2017 I moved back to West Knoxville close to Suburban. I went to get a haircut and "lo and behold" it was exactly as I remembered except a couple of hundred yards around the corner in the same shopping center. Paul and Hoyt were still cutting hair. They give great haircuts for a reasonable price ($18). The place is family oriented, no TV, loud music, or foul language, just pleasant conversation. Hoyt just retired recently. One of the original barber's daughter, Cindi, is a barber there. Anyway, I wouldn't go anywhere else.“

I had a rough idea and he was able to give me what I wanted. He took the time to cut my hair with scissors which allowed him to be more thoughtful about his work. Working with the public in close proximity to their face, safety is important. I've got lots of haircuts at a lot of different places, but Anna took great care of me and left me feeling very confident in my hair. “I went in to have my beard cleaned up while in town on vacation/business. The staff were super friendly and worked well at completing the request. It is an old school barbershop in an older building. You can definitely tell it has been around for a while. One thing to note when visiting here is they are a CASH ONLY business. They do not accept cards of any type.“

“At $8 you cant really complain. I normally pay $22 plus tip. Got right in. She's a little short so can't really reach/see the top of your head. The fade or high and tight as she called it, isnt as tight as I'd like. It could be faded a little better. But $8 plus tip, so it's a cheap cut.“

Chad, the owner, got back to me very quickly and said I could come in virtually any time and he’d meet us there, and that he was happy to fix the cuts. We came today and he was super friendly, professional, and gave them both great cuts. He also talked me through both of their haircuts, hair types, and how to best style it. Very nice guy! Didn’t charge us for the cuts and went above and beyond to help us out. (Really cool shop, too!)“
