About Planet Fitness
Planet Fitness is a popular fitness center that aims to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for people of all fitness levels. With over 2,400 locations, Planet Fitness is known for its "Big Fitness Energy™" approach, which encourages members to embrace their fitness journey with enthusiasm and positivity. The staff, particularly individuals like Sarah and Ashley, are consistently praised for their helpfulness, friendliness, and hard work in maintaining a clean and inviting space. Customers often mention how their warm greetings and welcoming attitude make coming to the gym easier and more enjoyable. The equipment is generally clean and well set out, although some members have noted concerns about the age and condition of certain machines. The gym's affordable monthly fee is appreciated, and many find the environment courteous and friendly. During peak hours, the limited equipment and space can be challenging, and some members consider exploring other gyms for more variety. Overall, Planet Fitness offers a good starting point for those beginning their fitness journey, with a positive atmosphere and helpful staff, though more experienced members might find the limited equipment frustrating at times.
The ventilation in this specific location is terrible. It’s been hot & humid each time I’ve gone, it doesn’t help that it’s the only location in Regina and is always busy. It makes for a terrible workout and on my last visit, I became nauseous and had to turn in early due to the heat. I’ve been to other locations in other cities & they’ve always had A/C and ventilation.
Really busy most days, but it is what it is. Equipment is great. Weekend hours are terrible, as it closes early Friday through Sunday. Change room area is pretty clean, bathrooms not so much. Always a urine puddle around the urinals. They have paper towel dispensers to wipe equipment and I've never witnessed anyone not wiping down so that's a good thing. Oddly enough they hand dryers in the bathroom with a sticker about saving the trees by switching from paper towels. Always able to do what I need to do there it just takes longer due to the amount of people.
Honestly I used to be an hater of planet fitness cause I hate the lunk alarm but it didnt go off even if weights clanked or folks grunted. It was a super chill place to work out. Im probably gonna get a black card in the future
