Dr. Whalen did an amazing job on my dog’s ACL repairs. It was unfortunately a hereditary problem but after both knee repairs she live a very long happy life. I couldn’t thank him enough for what he did for Bella!
About Animal Care Center of Spearfish
The Animal Care Center of Spearfish is a highly recommended veterinary clinic known for its compassionate and thorough care. The skilled veterinarians, led by Dr. Whalen, take the time to listen to pet owners' concerns, provide detailed explanations, and deliver exceptional service. The friendly and caring staff ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners. They host a specialty vet from Bozeman once a month, providing services normally available in Denver or Sioux Falls. This offers fantastic time and money savings, especially for those who have driven long distances with a hurting pet. They had a same day appointment available for an exam and vaccination, and were very welcoming. The vet techs were so kind and the vet was great, showing a high level of concern and care. They make time for pets in distress when other vets cannot.

Cared about the needs of my pet and treated him humanely. Has Saturday AM hours, which is also helpful. May cost a little more than my own vet, but my vet didn't have an opening I could get to.

I want to give a huge thank you to the team at Animal Care Center in Spearfish, SD! We are from Oregon and were traveling to SD when Levi suddenly got incredibly sick. Animal Care Center was able to get an appointment set up for us that same day, within an hour or so of us calling.
Dr. Olson reviewed Levi’s test results with great detail and explanations, then offered several options for us for the next steps to ensure he received the care he needed.
I also want to shout out Tiana for both calling and messaging multiple times after the visit to see how Levi was doing. Levi is back home in Oregon and is doing amazing!
Thank you so much!
