De Smet Flower & Loftus Store is a cute flower and gift shop with a charming history. Half of the store is the original location where Laura bought her Pa's suspenders for Christmas. The shop offers many great items related to Laura Ingalls Wilder and Harvey Dunn, with a special section featuring Garth Williams' Little House on the Prairie illustrations. It is a delightful place for unique gifts and floral arrangements.

Ordered these flowers for my sister over the phone and was blown away when she sent me the photo of them! So beautiful! Terrific job! Great shop to work with as they made it very easy and did exactly as I asked! So happy with my long distance purchase.

First contact in DeSmet. Wonderful!! Good historical lesson about the space and a great tour guide of the city and the Laura Ingalls Wilder attractions. Found a few mementos in both stores. Worth the stop!

The family who owns this business do a great job of making visitors feel welcome. Lots of gift ideas, clothing and flower shop too! Located on main street, close to the Wilder Welcome Center.
