I recently delivered my baby in the birthing center and had nothing short of a great experience from arrival to departure! Dr. Bennis was our doctor throughout my pregnancy but was out of town when we delivered sadly. She was amazing through my pregnancy and I would recommend her to everyone! Elsa was our nurse who helped us get settled and informed us of all that we needed to know, as we were induced. She was very kind and welcoming! We later had Andrea as our nurse through the high majority of our stay and she was amazing! Very helpful, informative, and comforting! I appreciated how down to earth she was. She was there with me when our son was born and it was a great experience! Dr. Harsma delivered our son and she was 10/10 to say the very least! Sage was our nurse throughout the evening and she was helpful, attentive, and very easy to talk to when you’re in a vulnerable place after giving birth. Again, she was great! We also had Andrea throughout the next day as well as that next evening when we were discharged and she helped carry our things down and out to our vehicle. Cannot thank her enough, nor say enough great things! That being said we had random nurses stepping in here and there when our nurses were unable and they were all great. Overall we have nothing but great things to say about everyone we encountered and our experience! Thank you <3

Had outpatient surgery yesterday. Thank you, Laurie, Brooke,Tara, and Kristine in patients care. OR team Nick,Elle,Shelbi,Libby, and Carli! Excellent care, couldn't be happier. Special shout-out to Dr.Oey nice job!!

Went through a total knee replacement with Dr. Meyer on Monday. I can't say enough about how impressed I have been through the entire process dating back over 3 years when it became apparent this day would come for me. Everyone I have been in contact with from Dr. Meyer, to reception to nursing staff, to pharmacy, OT, PT, students and all those I am missing have been nothing short of excellent. The staff at Brookings Health System genuinely care about thier patients and needs. The weeks leading up to my surgery with my primary Dr. Malmberg, through joint camp and then the actual procedure and hospital stay went very smoothly. What I am most impressed with is how, to the individual, they ensure you know exactly what is going on and why. If you haven't given BHS a shot because you believe better care can be found in Sioux Falls, you should think twice. I have truly felt as if family has been taking care of me. A job very well done!
