“Back story: I'm a 71 year old, my 21 year old autistic grandson came to live with me in 2023. Even though he attends an Adult day are for so many hours a day. I was starting to find myself getting overwhelmed . I reached out to his caseworker to see what was available with helping me . Thats how I found Attentive Angels. My daughter ( he's Aunt) that was already helping me with my grandson was able to get hired with Attentive Angels. It has been such a blessing. She's able to do things outside the house that I can't. They go shopping, to the movies, to the gym, to car shows, visit the Fire Department, go to restaurants for dinner, even stops by for coffee out. Dunkin Donuts is his favorite place for coffee. The best part of all of this was that my grandson didn't have to get use to a stranger . Change can be hard for him. By Attentive Angels hiring his Aunt, everything has gone so smoothly.“

“For the past 5 years Home Instead has helped me care for my Mother who is 99 years old in her home. While I am with her 3 days a week, Home Instead is there the other days to care for her around the clock. While she has dementia and cannot remember names, she recognizes the Caregiver's smiling faces. They know her routines and are able to keep her on schedule which lessens her anxiety. Because of their kind and gentle care, I do not worry if she is being cared for when I am not with her. The office staff is exceptional and always so very helpful, kind and considerate if there needs to be a change in the schedule. So many thanks to all the staff at Home Instead.“

“I am appalled that JaKeria Cunningham posted a negative review. She was assigned to provide caregiving services to my mother who has dementia. In contradiction of my mother's careplan, Jakeria (i) put my mother to bed 1.5 hours prior to her scheduled bed time (which is important mom is engaged and not in bed too early so she remains sound asleep and safely in bed throughout the night) and (ii) abandoned her shift 30 plus minutes ahead of schedule without communicating with me or the agency. Ironically, JaKeria was still clocked in and billing for in home care services although she had left early for the evening. If I had not checked the cameras in the home, I would have been unaware that she was not there.

I am glad to hear that Hope on the Charrm Home Care team trained JaKeria well. Such training, however, did not entail doing the things above. In this moment, JaKeria simply demonstrated poor judgment. I hope in her other jobs she shows up better.“
