“I truly do not know how to put into words how grateful I am for Randy and his team. Far and away the best expeirence with a contractor I have ever had!

I am 22 years old and had recently very unexpectedly lost my dad, when for whatever reason, I began trying to restore the original 60 year old hardwood floors in my home. I went through the whole process up until after applying the first coat of stain. At that point, everything in my life felt like it was falling apart. I had spent countless hours and thousands of dollars on equipment rentals, stain, and supplies, only for the floors to turn out horribly. There were dark pet stains all over and even worse bleach stains from where I attempted removing said pet stains.

I called numerous flooring professionals and had many come to my house to give me a quote. Some quoted prices I could never afford, while others told me there was no hope for the floors and that I should cover them with LVP. I was contemplating asking family members for a loan or just throwing carpet back over them. Then Randy called me. He was the first optimistic, upbeat voice I had heard in quite a long time. He was professional, but also “unprofessional” in just the right way. He was incredibly relaxed, personable, and cracking jokes left and right. He sounded so confident that he could save the floors that the rest of our conversation somehow turned into us talking and laughing about things completely unrelated to flooring. I honestly thought he was too laid back to understand just how terrible the floors looked, so I asked whether he could come see them the next day. Which happened to be a Sunday.
Randy came out on a Sunday, looked everything over, and assured me that he could fix them. His team was at my house replacing boards the very next day. He was unbelievably kind, patient, and willing to work with me A LOT.

At one point, something did not go exactly as planned, and I think I was more discouraged by it than he was. Randy simply told me, “Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.”. That was oddly exactly what I needed to hear. During the most difficult period of my life, his patience, humor, wisdom, and positive outlook genuinely taught me something that went far beyond hardwood floors.
Most importantly, the floors turned out absolutely beautiful!!! Randy and his team accomplished what several other professionals told me could not be done. He did not just restore my floors, he gave me one less thing to feel hopeless about when everything else in my life seemed so gloomy.

I will FOREVER be grateful for the call that I recieved from Randy. The kindness he exudes and the love for his work and his company is very clear. I cannot recommend Randy Stewart Hardwood Flooring highly enough!!!“
