Lovable Paws Rescue is an excellent organization that truly cares about the animals in their care. The team, led by Mark and Steve, works hard to provide a safe and loving environment for the animals. The staff is kind and compassionate, going above and beyond to help those in need, including providing essential care and support. Adopters and donors alike appreciate the remarkable job they do, and the rescues are blessed to have such dedicated and caring individuals involved. Visitors often see dogs enjoying a huge fenced yard, interacting with people and each other, and leaving with a new best friend. The new facility in Ridgeland SC is a wonderful place for both humans and animals, offering a warm, welcoming environment. All fosters and volunteers are encouraged to join and support the rescue. The staff, especially Steve, is known for being great with all the animals, making sure they are well fed, cared for, and happy. Many adopters find their perfect match here and leave with a new pup cuddling on their lap, enjoying a cozy pillow and blanket. The organization encourages everyone to support their local rescue and adopt, rather than shop, to give animals a loving home.
I went to Lovable Paws earlier this year when I saw a post that they needed volunteers. I knew the moment I stepped in this place was special. There is a pack of sanctuary dogs that greet you when you come in! So many of these dogs waiting for homes were once strays that now have meals water and a place to feel safe. One word to describe all the dogs in Steve's care: grateful. Steve does a great job making sure the fit is just right between the dog and potential adopter. If anyone is interested in volunteering they can always use an extra set of hands! Highly recommend finding your forever friends at Lovable Paws!
I got pre-approved for a specific dog before going there, but had a back-up in case my first choice was no longer available. I was able to spend time with the dog I wanted, and they were very helpful with information on her. The whole process was easy and I brought my new dog home. We are so happy to have her!
Having lost bonded dogs inside a week to extreme old age, we were not sure we were ready to adopt again so soon, but Sunny, our third dog was very sad, so we went out to Lovable Paws. What a marvelous place. Part rescue, part sanctuary, Steve and the volunteers care so much for the members of their extended family. They were genuinely elated to see Momma (now Roxie) (who had been there two years) find a home to call her own, and Peanut (now Audrey II) who also demanded to come home with us, find her forever home.
