Beaufort Eye Center provides a range of eye care services, including cataract surgery. Patients have praised Dr. Webster for his patient care, thorough explanations of surgical procedures, and post-operative follow-up. He is described as having excellent bedside manners and being nurturing. While some patients have experienced long wait times for appointments, this has reportedly improved during follow-up visits. There have also been instances of billing errors, such as incorrect co-pay quotes and difficulties accessing insurance information. Dr. Kokanokis, another physician at the center, is also highly regarded for her thoroughness, taking time with each patient, and her ability to diagnose and treat eye conditions. Patients appreciate her knowledge and dedication to providing quality care.
I recently had the occasion to need to see an eye doctor while vacationing in South Carolina. All of a sudden, a large floater appeared (different than I had ever experienced. I was concerned because this was in the same eye in which I receive injections for Wet AMD.
I saw Dr Alex Johnson and he performed a dilated exam, and he immediately put me at ease. He shared exactly what he saw, very patiently answered all of my many questions, and told me what to do should things change.
I cannot recommend Dr Johnson enough; his manner and knowledge were very comforting. I wish I lived closer and could switch to him for an eye doctor!

Dr Webster did a laser procedure to remove scar tissue that had formed over my replaced lens. It was fast and extremely effective. Such an easy doctor to work with. Would highly recommend!
I had cataract eye surgeries on both of my eyes in November with Dr. Alex Johnson being my surgeon. It was an overall great experience. He is a wonderful doctor. The staff from start to finish was great. I would recommend Beaufort eye care for all of your eye care needs. Dora James.
