Buyers beware of Stanley Martin (formally known as Essex). We just closed on our house and it's not worth paper it's listed on. We feel cheated and deceived by the sales lady, neighbor good manager and region. We kept hearing everything will be fixed in the end.They never fixed the following:Uneven flooring and loose boards (redone twice and its still not level through the house)Paint on new cabinetsLoose drain spouts outside of the homeThe outer windows around the outside of the homeTiling around kitchen, fireplace and master bathroom not even or levelNails backing out on wallsSloppy painting of walls, doors anCracked painted areas in the house wallsThis is... read full review

We purchased our home a year and a half ago. The house was brought new. It is falling apart. Doors are cheap banisters are cheap sheet rock cheap materials used cheap. Hoa is horrible.
