Such a great experience during a very hard time. I lost my father on New Year's Eve. I live in New York and had to handle everything for my mom who is in SC. His wishes were simple - cremation and scatter his ashes at home around the property he so loved. A simple direct cremation was all we needed. Every traditional funeral home I spoke with quoted very high prices even though I was very explicit that I just wanted a simple direct cremation.
