“This was my initial visit and it went really well. My previous dentist had suggested several “add on” options which made me uncomfortable and pressured. I received X-rays , cleaning and exam and was given options and explained in detail a follow up plan. The entire staff was extremely friendly and make sure that your comfort is a priority. He and his staff were very knowledgable about my dental needs, communicated them clearly and after listening to my concerns, developed a satisfactory treatment plan. Yesterday I underwent first phase of plan under heavy sedation (a special shout out to Alicia, Dr Mohler’s nurse anesthetist who is a godsend ) At this point in my treatment, I am thoroughly satisfied. Very little pain, no swelling and this morning feeling great. Kudos to Dr Mohler and his team!“

“I had a wonderful first visit! I sought out a local office, rather than a ‘chain’ and I am so glad that I did. From the initial phone call to set up my appointment, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They explained the process and were upfront with costs/insurance (as you can be, it’s all variable). The front desk staff were welcoming and friendly. My hygienist was amazing! She explained everything in an easy way; talking me through each step and what was going to be happening next. The dentist I saw was friendly and explained things well, as well.

“I briefly saw Dr. Hefner when I lived in Beaufort and she completed a crown for me as part of my treatment a few years ago. After I moved, my new dentist helped identify a potential issue with the crown and recommended that I return to the original dentist. Dr. Hefner was very professional discussing options with me, especially since the crown wasn't near its life expectancy. She explained that if I were still local, she'd feel more comfortable keeping an eye on it and keeping it in, but since I moved 2.5 hours away and my insurance had changed and no longer covered crowns, she was willing to replace it for me pro bono. I am very grateful for her professionalism and willingness to help me despite cost to herself. I highly recommend her office if you're in the lowcountry area.

Also, I have always loved at atmosphere of this office. This is the first dentist office I've been to with windows in each room, especially with the stunning view of the natural SC landscape behind it. If you're uncomfortable getting dental work done, they have bird feeders in most windows and you can distract yourself bird watching. I highly recommend this office.“
