Heuser Ace Hardware is a local, family-owned hardware store in the Lowcountry known for providing excellent service. The store offers a wide range of brands such as Benjamin Moore paints, Stihl power equipment, Milwaukee, DeWalt, and Craftsman tools, Big Green Egg, Traeger Smokers, Weber Grills, Napoleon Grills, and more.
Plants at the store are competitively priced, with signs for every plant indicating their sun/shade requirements and deer-resistance. While prices for some items may be higher than online giants and box stores, the convenience of having a reliable hardware store nearby is worth it.
Employees are always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Customers appreciate that finding items is easy, and they often receive great product recommendations. The store layout is clear, and regular customers are finding their way around much better over time. The store is highly recommended and is the closest thing to McGuckin's that can be found in the location at Buckwalter. Additionally, customers benefit from fair pricing and discounts through the Ace Rewards program.
I really like popping into this place whenever I need some supplies for a home project. The staff is always super helpful and seems to actually know what they are talking about, which makes finding the right tools or hardware way easier than at those giant big-box stores. Everything is neatly organized on the shelves, so I am usually in and out pretty quickly. It has become my go-to spot whenever I need something fixed around the house.
Went in ready to try and find plumbing parts to upscale a new pipe to fit an old one until I ran into Marc. He listened, looked at my pictures, and then said: “Yup, been seeing that a lot. So I ordered in these special adaptor rings…”. Ahead of the game. Worked perfectly. Went the next day and he matched the stucco paint color on the house too. THANKS MARC!!
While we self guided ourselves through the store quickly, we did exchange pleasantries with staff working in the isles. Our checkout clerk was pleasant, quickly scanned my bar codes, rang up my purchase, and the propane exchange clerk was at the ready with a new tank outside! This location is very convenient, clean and well stocked.
