Horizon Records is one of the best music shops around, especially if you still care about physical media. The staff is knowledgeable, and the store has a great mix of CDs, used LPs, and new LPs.

For classical music, it’s especially worth a visit. There are two rooms filled with bins and shelves of classical recordings, which is not something you find very often anymore. For anyone who actually enjoys browsing, comparing editions, finding older recordings, or stumbling onto something unexpected, this place is a real treasure.

Great local record store, and even better with The Bohemian Cafe attached next door.

I had a great time at Horizon Records store today. Got to hear the history of this place from one of their head employees. Gene Berger started this place 50 years ago. He loved music and loved talking music with others. It drove him to share music and that love of vinyl with his community and that was the birth of Horizon Records. There’s something for everyone here. They even have a dedicated Jazz and Classical section and a fun find called “Trash and Treasure”- a literal smorgasbord of long forgotten cds for $1.00! I found 4, and a vinyl, and a T Shirt. 😂 Thanks for letting me take photos today. It was a great drop in on my way out of town.

Very well organized record store with a quite large selection of both new and used to choose from; including both CD and vinyl, plus some cassettes as well. Prices for some were a tad higher than online listings, but for me the difference was negligible. Parking can be a bit cramped though
