Horizon Records is a monument on the vinyl-and-cd landscape. Dean--a world-class jazz musician, with a library comprising c. 12,000 lps and even more cd's--recently found at Horizon lps, cd's, and books he did not have. Musicians, audiophiles, and collectors, Horizon is an Upstate treasure!

This is a PROPER record store. The store is exceptional. Vinyl is kept in proper alphabetical order. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about music, and clearly cares about music as well as their customers experience. There is a quiet room with jazz and classical which has peaceful classical music playing broken off inside the store. In the rock section special albums that have higher prices are handled labeled and graded with explanations as to their condition, meaning an employee has taken the time to really inspect the quality of the product. Employees are friendly and know the product and can quickly access information to order more obscure music artists and are willing to help you get what you need. This record store is well organized. Prices are market price.

Awesome selection! Did they have everything I was looking for in vinyl? No. Would I expect them to? Also no. They did have more than enough though. Both used and new. Staff was nice. Greeted upon entrance, told to ask if any questions but they didn’t hover.
