Im am strongly thinking about changing . Can't get refills until I come in the office . If nothing is wrong with me why am I co.ing in every 2-3 mo just to sit 2 hours for you to send a prescription for refills that I've been take for 4 years .

Dr. Akkineni was my PCM for 3+ years only because changing to someone else was too difficult and other offices were not accepting new patients.

90% of my interactions with her were negative. I was misdiagnosed continuously, and told that my health issues were due to being overweight, despite having a “normal” BMI. She refused to prescribe me different medications on the grounds that I “might become pregnant”, even though that was not a possibility. Instead she ordered blood tests to check vitamin levels every 4-6 weeks and prescribed me a host of vitamins. Her professional advice to me was “stop looking at your phone at night and worry less”.

I chose Dr. Akkineni to be my dad's PCM. She's very thoughtful and thorough in her treatment. The only downside is the wait time, which is why I only gave 4 out of 5 stars. I saw another review saying Dr. Akkineni is racist and I have to disagree with that. My dad and I are black, and Dr. Akkineni has always treated us with professional courtesy and respect during the 2 1/2 years she's been his PCM.
