“If I could award 10 stars it still wouldn't be enough to reflect just how talented Debbie Roberts is when she wields scissors and razor. I have experienced many hair stylists over the years, and some were quite good, but Debbie stands tall over all of them.
I went to her cute little shop armed with pictures of my old styles and one I hoped she could do for me...and she did, beyond my expectations. And during it all, her vibrant personality lit up the room where we had a great conversation that did not distract her from executing a perfect hair cut.

“Although I myself am not the greatest with selfies, I can assure you that this is my natural hair and it is so much more BEAUTIFUL in person. I came when my hair was broken and dull. And my hair has thrived in just about 6 months of coming to this Salon. I get sooooooooo many compliments on my hair after it is done! Even after the style is old I still have people telling me that my hair looks so shiny and pretty. I made this post because my hair wasn't always this way. I've been natural since 2009 and have had my fair share of up and downs, and set backs with my hair. In 2023 for my Birthday, I had a different salon do my hair. I finally wanted it straightened after years of wearing it curly... my hair was mid back length... the salon broke my hair off and I could smell burnt hair for months after that visit, even after washing it thoroughly, numerous times. I felt defeated and stopped caring for my hair. I let it do whatever. I looked like WHATEVER. I finally wanted to try to have my hair done again in a salon after years of neglect. I had nothing to lose. I asked a co-worker if she knew of a salon that she trusted. She referred me to Brooklyn Braids and the rest is history. My hair is growing and thriving...even my huge problem area in the back of my head I'd growing back like weeds. I only have great things to say about this salon and all of the BEAUTIFUL QUEENS that do hair there. Thank you Angelique for making me have faith in salons again! I am so grateful!“
