The wait was long. It took about 3 hours from start to finish. Definitely worth the 6 bucks. The volunteers are wonderful and they work very hard to help the ones that have food insecurity due to this awful economy.

I have picked up numerous times to help a local family. All the volunteers are kind and helpful. When I made the first pick-up I was given paperwork regarding the program. Foods are donated by generous local vendors. Some may be near or slightly beyond the expiration date but the Project has checked with the health department to determine procedures. Every visit, there are different items in the bags but I often notice fresh fruits and vegetables and other refrigerated items which are rarely available at food pantries. I can’t speak highly enough about this wonderful program .

Cereal, cheese, bread, baked goods, broccoli, bananas, chicken thighs, etc I was shocked to see really good name brands and interesting products. Most of it is approaching expiration date or has past but it totally still edible. (Just prioritize the fresh produce first). I... read full review
