I brought my Missi into see dr otis about a bump that was bothering her.
He dismissed it .Turns out it’s Skin Cancer and if cought early enough it wouldn’t spread , then he acted like it was her fault for getting it , she is a dark tabby with thick fur
it’s not her fault!!
With a name like Otis you’d think he would be good at this . Maybe just creating surgeries for him to do , you know the big bucks.
Then i brought her into the office on another matter about a year later , and saw another dr. He felt the bump and was very concerned , we had to arrange surgery right away

honestly not really a fan of this place. I got my cat spayed and it ended up being $400 all together which is a lot. I dropped him off in the morning and the vet said he'd probably be ready to go in the evening like 5pm around closing. well I got a call around 1pm saying he's awake and ready to be picked up. This made me a little worried that they didn't give him enough anesthesia, he was absolutely alarmed and in duress whenever I got there. The vet said he might lightly bleed for a few more hours. well 48 hours passed and he was still bleeding quiet a bit. I took a look and honestly, they look like they mangled this poor cat. I had to take him back because I was worried about blood loss. they took a look and said he was fine but it overall was not a very good experience to see your pet in that way. it also seemed like everything costed wayyyy too much money as well. just my experience, hopefully yours is better!
We have taken our dog to South County Vet. practice since we adopted her over 10 years ago. Sadie has always received good care there by the staff and Doctors. She is a small dog, shy and nervous at times but is always handled with a patient and gentle manner by the staff. She recently needed a surgery and Dr. Otis was wonderful before, during and post surgery, offering professional and compassionate care throughout the experience. We highly recommend the South County Veterinary practice in Wakefield.
