With a steady supply of washing machines and dryers, Pier Laundromat is a great local option for all dry cleaning needs.
People barely work here and their washing machines are full of mold. Many do not work, or will stop washing half way through the cycle. Good luck getting anyone who works there to help you get your $5 back, you have to find these rude humans first. Just find another laundromat.
When I permanently moved to South County, RI, a couple years ago, I chose Pier Cleaners as my dry cleaning and laundry provider. Most of the staff in the Wakefield branch, and certainly the senior staff, is always in a foul mood, cranky and unhappy. On my most recent visit the senior staff member was openly disrespectful to another customer who raised what I agree were legitimate concerns about the cleaning job. I never had a problem with the cleaning, but have decided life is too short to do business with a service provider with a consistently bad attitude.
First let me say that the majority of these reviews here appear to be from disgruntled people who took the time to trash Pier Cleaners. This shop has 100's if not 1000's of satisfied clients and these reviews are definitely NOT the norm. I have used their pick-up service and have dropped off dry cleaning and they have been wonderful. I have never had an issue here and have frequented Pier Cleaners for a least ten years. It is not the closest dry cleaner to me, I live in Narragansett, but I trust them and have NEVER had a problem. I highly recommend Pier Cleaners! They are reliable and my clothes are always perfectly dry cleaned!
