About Beaver River Golf Club
Beaver River Golf Club is a family-owned and -operated golf course located in Southern Rhode Island. The 706,006-yard course is scenic and challenging, with lush, green, and firm grounds that test the skills of both experienced and beginner golfers. The club also features a pro shop selling golf equipment and apparel, as well as a restaurant and bar where visitors can relax after a round. Reviewers praise the friendly staff and great atmosphere at the club. The restaurant, Alynas, offers simple fare with an Irish flair, and dishes like the pulled pork, French onion soup, and cheeseburger and fries receive high marks. The outdoor bar and cornhole setup create a fun, social environment. Recently, guests have noted that the course is in fantastic shape, very challenging, and well-maintained, though some mention slow greens and the need for better pace of play, especially on the front nine. Adding yardage markers and clearer signage could improve the experience, but overall, the course and dining options provide an enjoyable experience. Players are encouraged to repair divots, as some reviews suggest, to help maintain the course's good condition. Overall, Beaver River Golf Club offers an enjoyable golfing and dining experience, with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. With some improvements to the course and pace of play, it could be an even better destination for golfers in the area.
I've played the course many times and I enjoy the round. There's some goofy holes but that doesn't bother me, however if your listening management do yourselves a favor and put bottles of sand on the carts so the players can repair their divots and take care of the nice fairways. Last thing the course is in great shape but you need to roll those greens they are ridiculously slow.
I played here too years ago and again today. 7/6/25
The course was just as i remember. In fantastic shape. Very challenging. Keep the ball in play you'll have a good round.
The only thing missing are the little details like yardage markers at the tee box, more consistent signage for next tee, etc. Even without those extras the course is one of the best I've played in the state. The fairways and greens were in excellent shape. Walked the front 9 last night and can't wait to get out for the full 18.
