The passing of my mom was on July 30, 2024 I had a direct cremation my mom’s wishes very caring and understanding staff. I do recommend them the affordability.
During this difficult time with the loss of my mother and not knowing where to turn, I called Olson and Parent Funeral Home and it was one of the best decisions I could have made. When I spoke to Tom Olson it was to get information on what I needed to begin planning for my mothers services. Tom provided me with all the information and assured me that upon my mothers passing he would handle everything, and that is exactly what he did. The Wednesday afternoon my mother passed, Tom called me that night to let me know that my mother was now at the funeral home and in his care. He explained what would take place from that point and he would be in contact with me. I heard from Tom on Friday explaining when they would be taking my mother to Swan Point and when I could expect her to be returned to me. On Monday I recieved a voice mail from Tom letting me know my mother was on her way to Swan Point and would be back mid Wednesday. On Wednesday morning I received the call that mom was back and I could pick her up. Today Friday, I went to Olson and Parent Funeral Home to pick up my mother. Tom greeted us at the door and he was as kind and compassionate in person as he was on the phone and in emails. He had everything ready for us to sign, explained the fees on the bill, thanked me for what I wrote about my mother for her obituary that he put on their website, and took the time to listen, to listen to me tell him how appreciative I was for his kindness and compassiin during this difficult time. I can not say enough good things about Olson and Parent Funeral Home and Tom Olson who I feel went above an beyond to make this experience much easier to deal with during this very sad time in my life.
