She has maintained my blonde and does a great job making sure everything is blended. “I used to go here but my stylist changed salons and I moved with her. The week of my wedding my stylist had a family emergency and had to cancel my full foil appointment. It was a Monday and all salons were closed, but I immediately sent a bunch of emails and within an hour received a response from the owner of LaLaLuxe, Leah, trying to see if someone at the salon could squeeze me in. She was the sweetest. I ended up making other arrangements, but thought it was so kind of her to reach out, so quickly (on a day the salon is closed) to try and assist. So if you're looking for a new salon and want to support a local business run by a good person- I recommend LaLaLuxe!“

Fitz always welcomed you with a smile and Gerry papered my wife and created masterpieces with my wife's hair. It was so sad to come for an appointment recently only to find the salon closed and it's offices filled with Providence Police. We will both miss Squires immensely. It was an institution and a bastion of culture that will never be duplicated.“

I have short spiky hair, and not everyone is good with this type of cut. The vibe is welcoming and laid back, and it's in a cool little plaza. “UPDATE: platinum locks! Nina helped me grow out my platinum pixie (see photo) into healthy bob and we are continuing on with length! I never thought that my hair could do this!Nina is the color wizard responsible for my *healthy* platinum white locks. Naturally, my hair is dark brown and hard to lift. Not with Nina! She even managed to bring my husband’s never dyed brown hair to *my same tone* in the first sitting! She is as excited to try out new color pops and hot roots on me as she is to restore me back to her signature blonde when I’m “over it”.I’ve followed her from her former place to her gorgeous new location. Her space is colorful, joyous, and safe; where a poster of Nancy Sinatra hangs out next to Nina’s original paintings, and old photos of her family. In these terrible times, seeing Nina feels like a much needed and very safe moment of self care. But that blonde! Seriously look at that tone! Then go book! Then: take a selfie at her wall of streamers.“
