Highland Memorial Park Cemetery

We came in from Florida to visit my mom, dad and two brothers gravesites and the grounds at the cemetery look terrible. Dirt has covered up the stones and no one takes care of them. Very sad.

I managed to get out of work early to visit a resident who passed that I was close to for her birthday. I got flowers and made the 47 minute drive. Highland doesn't have a kiosk so you have to go during office hours to find out where to go. Office closes at 5pm but of course I get there and there's a "office closed today" sign, saying to visit the trailer in the back. The trailer has a handwritten sign saying open until 4:30pm. It was 4:09 but no one was there and the door was locked. I called during the day to find out which grave to go to & no one picked up. Great customer service

My Mom and Dad chose their plot many years ago and Mom passed in 1990. I visit on holidays in her memory and have always found the grounds well kept. The chapel on the hill was added years later and is beautiful. 2 weeks ago my Dad joined my Mom. I love that there are no big stones, just plaques in the ground. It's very peaceful with beautiful surroundings. Each area has a name such as Garden of Peace, Memory, Serenity etc. Highland doesn't have a cemetery look to it it really does look like a park.
