“Dr Richard Mello is the owner & vet. He is very dedicated to his patients & although he retired many years ago..he is still there treating his patients most days.WAH is very busy and the worldwide shortage of vets does not help. They are overwhelmed by people bringing their babies to them. They are often booked at least a month out for routine visits. They do their best to accommodate emergency calls. WAH tries to keep their fees reasonable and will work out a payment plan with you if you're honest!Dr Mello's daughter, Dr Jodi is also an experienced excellent vet there for many years. I've heard another long time vet is retiring soon. They have reduced their hours since COVID to Monday- Friday.I highly recommend WAH.“
“My dog Beau needed a sick appointment and were given one the next day. Greeted kindly by the front staff and were quickly put into a room. Jessica did the intake and took her time gaining Beau's trust. She listened to my concerns and relayed those to Dr. Girard who then came in and was wonderful. She was kind and explained her approach as we came up with a mutually agreed upon plan. I really appreciated their professionalism and felt confident in the care we received there.“

“Such a compassionate staff- my 17 year old torti had struggled with cancer for the past year. They helped me pro-long her life comfortably as much as they could. The doctors are honest and genuinely care about your pet’s best interest. They administered the process of putting my dear Sadie to sleep. I couldn’t imagine it being handled any more professional than how they did. They are wonderful and kind hearted and it really shows through their practice. The office staff is exceptional. “I recently moved to the area and switched to this vet. Scheduling my 2.5yr old cat for his annual as a new patient was an easy process on the phone. They were booking out nearly 2 months later but when it came time for the actual visit, they were super accommodating and already prepared to deal with my cats severe anxiety during visits because they took care to pay attention to the notes I’d given them and they got his records from his previous vet!The visit was short but thorough! Very happy to have my cat going here.“
“My dogs and I moved from FL and were in need of a new vet, the staff and Dr G are all incredibly helpful and polite. My questions were answered thoroughly and with patience. We weren't rushed during our appointment and were treated with respect and kindness.I have 2 huge pits and I've had issues at other vets where the front staff were very clear they didn't like pits, were afraid and I was so offended we waited outside. So glad we were welcomed!“
“I have personally worked with Dr Linda Farrington in the early 2000's at Northern RI AH. I was her surgery technician . I just moved back home after living 6 years in Atlanta. I live in Somerset and work for Baystate Veterinary . My dog Khloe needed a dental. There was no-one else I trusted than Dr Farrington . I drove 45 mins each way to bring her there. I would have drove hours . My dog is 12 and my service dog and I was concerned but knowing Dr Farrington was doing the surgery I was not worried . Dr Farrington cares about her patients and does everything she can. I have known her to stay after hours and call clients on her day off. Also her prices are more than reasonable. I will never go anyway else. I have worked with many doctors in my 28 year Vet Career. Dr Farrington is the best !!!!!“
