My son (3) had the best experience with Alex. My son had gone to another (kids) hair stylist salon (not Matt’s in Mendon) a year ago and she cut him and he refused hair cuts for a long time. We took a chance because we saw great reviews with Alex and I can attest it was even better than I expected. Alex was on time, kind, fun, entertaining and my son held back a smile the entire time. Alex was gentle and clearly loves his job and kids. My son got in the car and said “I love my hair”! This is the first time he’s ever had a haircut he didn’t cry or dread. We had an amazing experience here with Alex today. My son (2.6) despises haircuts and it is a struggle he immediately cries whenever we mention it. Today we took a chance on a change and I am so happy we did. We were greeted so kindly when we walked through the door by the three people working at the time. Alex took his time to get Camden acclimated while he finished up on his prior customer. Then he allowed me to sit in the chair with Camden to get him comfortable. He was kind compassionate and empathetic towards Camden’s feelings. I am happy to say this is the first time he didn’t cry while visiting the hairdressers and we will definitely come back! Nicole was absolutely fantastic. My toddler hates hates hates haircuts but has not had good experiences prior.
Nicole is attentive to detail and even though my toddler was not a fan of getting a haircut, it came out amazing.
