H&R Block is a tax preparation service that has received mixed reviews. While some customers have had positive experiences, such as with the "serious and punctual" accountants who were able to "manage [their] file" effectively, others have praised the "best customer services in town" and the knowledgeable staff who ensured they were aware of all eligible government benefits. The Wellington branch, in particular, has been commended for its "great customer service" and efficient tax preparation. Overall, H&R Block seems to provide a reliable service, with some standout employees like Mary Dunlop and Shanthy who have been praised for their expertise and amazing customer service.
Once again, I received a stellar service from Wei Wang, which as a Self-Employed individual in a complex tax situation, is not always easy to obtain. I also consulted Mary of the Atwater/Westmount branch, who is well versed and respected in the field of U.S. CANADA Cross boarder taxation. Mary's efforts in successfully preparing my American streamline filing were invaluable and helped me avoid a potentially catastrophic outcome. Together with Wei, she seamlessly brought me into compliance on both sides of the boarder and gave me much needed peace of mind. Thank you, ladies. You are the best!
Susan Fernandes has provided exceptional service! Not only is she meticulously efficient, but she makes sure to explain every detail during the appointment. Her work ethic and attention to detail will reassure you. She is straight forward and will answer your concerns and questions with full clarity. This is my second year doing taxes with her, and I’ll be coming back if she is there again. Highly recommend!
Stick with me here because it's a bit of a journey. I had a terrible experience with H&R Block trying to file my 2023 taxes. It was a long story I won't bore you with, but to make it short, I was ignored until AFTER the due date and had to pay a lot of money last minute to get them rushed by an accountant so I would not be penalized. After attempting to resolve my issue numerous times, I filed a BBB claim against them. I was put in contact with Mary. Mary took care of my 2024 taxes, and to say she made the experience incredible would be an understatement. Mary is knowledgeable, kind, and really helped me through a stressful experience.
