Long story short, Dustin Pendal has stolen nearly $1000.00 from my family without rendering any services and he refuses to communicate with me. He's proven himself to be a liar, a scam artist, and an all around indecent human being. He is highly unprofessional, and runs his "business" unethically. DUSTIN IS PERFECTLY WILLING TO STEAL FROM FAMILIES AND LIE REPEATEDLY. Below are the details of what happened:On Wednesday April 27th, I entered into a contract with Mr. Pendal for construction work to be completed on our home. The contract required a $250 refundable deposit to secure a discount to the services being provided, as well as to secure the current promotion which included a room to be painted, free of charge.On Saturday April 30th, Mr. Pendal sent over two estimates for the various services to be provided. The estimated start date was 05/05/22, according to these estimates. The total cost for services was $2753.46. Mr. Pendal and I worked out a payment plan on 05/03/22 where the costs of service would occur over a four month period. I sent Mr. Pendal the first payment of $688.37 on 05/03/22. Mr. Pendal informed me that he had picked up the materials needed for my home project that same day.Mr. Pendal did not show up for the first day of work on 05/05/22, and instead said he would begin work on Monday, 05/09/22. Mr. Pendal also did not come that day, but instead said he would come the next day, 05/10/22.On 05/10/22, I began asking Mr. Pendal for proof of purchases, to confirm that he indeed ordered materials. When he did not send proof of purchases, I told him that I no longer wished to do business with him and that he should not order any more materials.I demanded a refund, with the caveat that I would deduct the cost of materials as long as I received receipts and materials. Mr. Pendall, despite not showing any evidence of purchases, said he ordered materials and paid for expedited shipping, and that the materials would be delivered to my home by Thursday 05/12/22.I still have not received proof of purchases, materials, or a refund. Mr. Pendal has ceased all communication with me, not answering my phone calls or text messages.
