I came to Dr. Alexandra S. George after years of suffering with Ménière’s disease. Every single day I was living in fear of the next vertigo attack or dealing with daily vertigo that made it so challenging to be a mom. She took her time and slowly adjusted my bite over several months. (Dr Alex also suggested an excellent physical therapist to help my tense muscles that were also contributing a bit.) Once that phase was complete, further testing revealed I had degenerative bone disease, which ruled out braces. I was absolutely devastated - my bite was so off, and the temporary restorations we used as a bridge couldn’t stay forever.
The bite adjustment had clearly helped my vertigo, (which was incredible!) so the only remaining option was crowns. I didn’t fully process how stressful the whole process would be until a couple of weeks after the crowns were placed. That’s when it all hit me - I cried. I was upset that my body couldn’t handle a misaligned bite on its own, upset that vertigo had become my symptom, and upset that braces weren’t possible because of the bone disease. But the crowns themselves look beautiful and I am very grateful.
Through every step, Dr. Alex was incredible. She felt like a second mother to me - extremely caring, patient, and empathetic. She guided me with such compassion during what was an emotionally and physically difficult journey. The entire staff at the practice is wonderful and shares that same warm, supportive approach.
If you’re looking for a dentist who truly cares about your overall health and well-being (not just teeth), I can’t recommend Dr. Alexandra S. George and her team enough. Thank you for giving me both a better bite and renewed hope.
