The admission to the ER was pretty painless. I was really sick with a bad infection and at 1st tried to get seen at Wellspan Chambersburg. I was so sick I could not stand on my own or walk. I told them I needed to lay down and they told me there was nothing they could do and so I had to lay on the floor of the waiting room. After my 2nd round of tremors while laying on the floor I asked my girlfriend to bring me to Waynesboro hospital. Staff was friendly, stay was friendly, food was not great by any means (one step above prison food I suspect). Now the problem I have is this. I had a severe bladder infection that required a catheter to get placed. I DID NOT want one from the very start when it was discussed as a possibility. The ONLY reason I agreed to it is I was told that my urologist who is a Wellspan doctor would remove the catheter in 7 days. I get a call from the urology department saying they can see me for 11 days. I called Wellspan Waynesboro to ask why this is and they basically told me sorry about my luck. This is not the 1st time I have had issues with Wellspan especially Waynesboro hospital. Their doctors have misdiagnosed me on many different occasions only to have a "oops, my bad" attitude about their mistakes once they figured them out. Meanwhile the wrong medications they prescribed me made my existing problems worse. I contacted attorneys and they said that everything I had was indeed negligence but to actually prove that in court is all but impossible. These hacks at Wellspan know this. After I filed my complaints my file was labeled as "non compliant" which they used to imply that I wasn't following doctors orders. Trying to make me look like the villain for standing up for myself and asking questions. BEWARE OF WELLSPAN

BEWARE our concern is on behalf of the Older Patient. My husband & I came to this practice referred by our PCP for routine colon screening; never treated before; was no history for either of us. We sat in the room at the same time & heard the same thing. We came under the same pretense & past history. We determined that because I asked a question that brought a 1 MIN. response that was NOT related to the routine colonoscopy & amounted to what they offered, they coded my case as diagnostic which carried through to the screening & anesthesia. BEWARE that Coding & Billing is the issue here & we feel any attempt to increase the out of pocket expense of the patient is their goal as using insurance would incur them write-offs. No explanation by phone email etc was provided. Upon visiting the office, he was told to leave & no one would speak to him. Later Billing admitted you need to be careful about what you say or you will be billed for something other than what you were referred for. Screen all offices before scheduling.

Everytime we have had to go to Waynesboro hospital the nurses and doctors have been amazing . They were on top of their game. The doctors ordered all the necessary tests to determine what was wrong and followed up with the right treatment. If it was something more severe that Waynesboro hospital wasn't equipped to handle they transferred us to Hershey Medical Center. My husband has gotten top notch care at Waynesboro hospital. Thank You for Caring so much!!
