“I don't review on Yelp often but wanted to provide a current review of David Witchell salon in Peddler's Village. The services that I receive are cut and highlight (I am a client of Kelly). She is superb, an artist. Yes, the services are expensive and for me: totally money very well spent. I receive partial highlights about twice a year. Kelly has never attempted to "sell" me on additional services. In fact, she has encouraged me NOT to highlight that often and instructed on the proper method to maintain the highlights. Her expertise in cutting is beyond what I have received in the past: I have had my hair cut in Paris (David Mallett), New York City-(Ric Pipino, Heidi Klum's ex-husband) and in Greenwich Connecticut-just some places and all very high end. The David Witchell salon and Kelly are outstanding and just as good, if not better than I've experienced before. Every cut that I've had (Kelly) grows in so well. The true sign of a great cut is how well your hair looks in the 6th week (yes, I can go that long between cuts!). I am often asked by strangers, where I get my hair done-always a compliment. Regarding the reviews about the front desk-I have not experienced rudeness at all. I note that many of the reviews about front desk attitude, occurred around Covid times, so maybe folks were on edge about that? I give folks the benefit of the doubt and a lot of grace. But that's just me :) Overall, this place is a gem.“

“I had an excellent experience with Daneene and her team! I didn't meet Daneene in person, but she was super easy to communicate with and contact as needed. I did a trial day for my wedding hair and makeup with Kim, which was so helpful to have prior to my wedding to make sure the style was what I wanted.

On my actual wedding day (10/18/25) we had Kim, Sol, and Julia. They did my hair and makeup along with my bridal party, grandmothers, and moms. They did an amazing job!! They were timely, paid attention to details, and they were so so sweet. I even had some pre wedding anxiety and they helped make me feel calmer. I highly recommend Daneene and her team for any bridal hair and makeup needs you may have!! They are incredible :)“

The lashes were exactly what I envisioned, the colors were dramatic but suited to my complexion, and working with Penelope was so fun and easy. My trial makeup was gorgeous but not exactly what I realized I wanted—so the wedding day makeup could have made me nervous, but I felt totally heard and taken care of. She took extra time with the things that weren’t perfect right off the bat (re-gluing/placing lashes) and gave me so many opportunities to ask for changes. I also cried 5-6 times that day (happy tears) and nothing budged on my face. I felt so beautiful, so myself. And I heard the same from the 4 other women who got their makeup done by her too.“

“I was completely blown away and thrilled with how fast and precise my highlights and cut were completed today. I have very long thick hair and I’ve had to sit in salon chairs for up to 4 hours in other salons for highlights, but with Anastasia she completed my whole salon visit in an hour and a half and the outcome was flawless!
