About Delmar Golf Course
Delmar Golf Course, established in 1960 by local residents, was created as a semi-private course for Ellwood and is now open to everyone. The course features a hilly layout that offers a fun and enjoyable experience for golfers. Despite some rough fairways and tee boxes, the greens are receptive and putted well. The course is playable even without watering, and conditions are generally good, especially after rain. Food and drinks are available at the turn and are reasonably priced. Visitors have praised the course for its affordability, with rates around $26 including a cart, and for its relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Many players find it to be a hidden gem, perfect for weekend golfers looking for a pleasant and affordable round.
Throwback golf course a little off the beaten path. First time playing here in about 15 years. Very hilly but fun.
Greens were A+, best I played all season so far. Fairways and rough were a B, lil dried out and firm. Tee boxes were a D, hard and spotty grass.
Overall a good time, especially for $30 senior rate. Plan on returning.
Of note, beware the Ellwood City boys and girls golf teams practice here Tuesday and Thursday in the summer. Had to jump around holes to keep moving but all good.
The course was in decent shape after a morning rain. Tee boxes are a little rough but fairly flat. Fairways are expected for a course that doesn’t water but playable. Greens were receptive and putted well but very rough around the perimeters. Overall liked the hilly layout and had fun playing. Food and drinks available at the turn were decent and not over priced.
I played 18 solo the other day and had a great time! First time at the course and I'll be back. The fairways could have used a trim but otherwise, it was good! $26 w/ cart on golfnow. Can't beat the price!
