Nittany Eye Associates in Spring Mills, PA is known for their thorough and professional eye care, provided by Dr. Hollister and the knowledgeable staff. The assistant, Brittany, is particularly praised for her friendliness and expertise. However, there have been some complaints about the receptionist's behavior, such as engaging in personal conversations during work hours, which has caused inconvenience for some patients. Despite the minor issue, many patients are pleased with the overall service and consider the drive worthwhile. The change in phone number has been met with some resistance from the local community.
At the State College office, they require that their patients receive a preventative scan, which most insurance providers don't cover. This results in an additional out of pocket expense for their patients of approximately $80. At the Penns Valley office, they still recommend the scan, but they don't require it. They are more concerned that their patients can afford the eye care that they need. They don't want their patients to forego eye care do to excessive out of pocket expenses that are not necessary. Thank you, Penns Valley office. Plus the staff are great.

All the people were so friendly and helpful. Everything was explained to me very carefully about what they were going to be doing. I'm scheduled for an appointment next year
