I started riding at Plainbrooke Farm when I was a young child and spent 5 great years there under the instruction of Beth. I built a solid foundation for riding and horse care while I was there surrounded by many girls my own age. The barn quickly became a second home and both my sister and I spent nearly all of our free time there. I left to continue my riding elsewhere throughout high school and college, but returned as an adult a little over a year and a half ago and have been riding under Megan’s instruction. It is so fun to be able to be trained by someone I grew up with and am best friends with! Megan is someone I can trust to have my best interests in mind and who helps guide me in both lessons and shows. She loves to work towards goals with each of her riders and has the ability to help you fulfill whatever goal you have. My first year back competing after just doing IHSA in college, I had an ambitious goal of qualifying for the Colonial Classic and she helped me, as well as several other riders, achieve that goal and compete at the Colonial Classic and do very well. She can help with teaching both by telling you and showing you as she is a competitive rider herself, which I find very helpful. If you are looking for a barn for yourself or your child that can be competitive as well as laid back and family-oriented, this is the place! You will be surrounded by great people and great horses.
