“I stopped in to have a single, natural nail that had split too far down repaired with gel so it could grow back out. The woman who did this for me treated me and my single nail like I was their best customer, no shortcuts. I was very happy with her work.“

She also sells so many different items there for gifts & also has a wide variety of sports items for all the Pgh teams . All the other ladies that work there are all very nice . “Every artist I have ever seen at Illustrated has been the most incredible and educated nail tech I frankly have ever been to. Specifically the owner Antoinette is simply incredible not only in the way that she does nails but also in how she treats others and runs her business. She genuinely cares about each person that walks through the door and she radiates that same energy through the rest of her staff. This salon is very up to date in being trained and using safe nail practices; everything is always so clean and well maintained. I have been at this salon for almost a year now and will keep coming back without a doubt. I get to keep my beautifully healthy natural nails and visit every 4-5 weeks (and with no chips even tho I am ROUGH on my nails) instead of going every 2 weeks to get acrylics that were destroying my nails and literally painful. I can’t say enough about how amazing this place is and would recommend it to ANYONE it is beyond worth the money!“

First it was short hair after having long hair for 15 years—and then a few years ago she gently suggested curtain bangs when I was ready to go all in on bangs. I love them! She is so good at giving advice for what will work with my hair. And she’s just a lovely person to chat with:) Can’t recommend highly enough!!“

“Lovely! She really cared to make sure I chose something that suited me and was so genuine and amiable as a person. This is ~6 days after the appointment. One of the gel nails did unfortunately begin peeling the day after, but she made it clear that I could come back and have it redone if so, I am just sick and moving in :,) the others are fine, and I still love the lacquer pedicure as well!

As a side note, my horrible week ended up catching up to me but she tolerated my collapse as she began helping her next client and was generous enough to offer me a much needed refreshment <3“

“I usually do not leave a review but felt Laurie and her salon deserved one.
I am a two time cancer survivor and even though I don’t have much hair left, I still need to
upkeep what I do have. I also wear hairpieces that I purchase on line but need to have them
styled. I can’t tell you how many places I called before I finally found a person more interested
in helping me than making money.
Laurie goes above and beyond making sure I feel comfortable. She will come in early before
her first customers or stay later when the salon is not so busy. When I come in with a new
hairpiece and think there is no hope for it, I leave looking great and receiving more
compliments than I ever did with my real hair. And best of all she doesn’t charge me more than
her regular price for a hair cut.
I am so glad I found Laurie and her salon. Not only do I now have a fabulous hair stylist but I
have gained a kind and wonderful friend.“
