After several rounds of neck cancer, I had constant pressure on the right side of my face. The VA recommended physical therapist to instruct me on dealing with Lymphodema Stage 2.
The physical therapist instructed me on daily massages on my on. Along with a post operative night wrap. Both somewhat helped.
My fiancee purchased a therapeutic massage for Christmas. Little did I realize the VA can prescribe therapeutic massage.
My Primary doctor at the VA listened to my concerns pertaining to my Lymphodema Stage 2 and authorized therapeutic massage sessions thru Green Wellness Massage. What a difference!
The therapeutic massage actually reduces the pain & pressure of my Lymphodema.
Highly recommended for other cancer survivors. Talk to your VA doctor. Asking is worth relief.

After 5 years and several rounds of neck cancer, I was suffering from debilitating pain & pressure occasional on the right side of my face. After numerous medical assessments Lymphodema stage 2 was the diagnosis.
My fiancee purchased a gift certificate in order to try therapeutic massage. One visit seemed to relieve the pressure. After discussing this with my VA Primary Care doctor. I was authorized 12 massage sessions thru the VA.
What an improvement the are making on my Lymphodema drainage issues. As a Veteran I am impressed this treatment was available from the VA.
