I had previously used an optical shop associated with my eye doctor, and when that closed I made the mistake of going to one of the large chain stores, which resulted in nearly a year of frustrations and 2 pairs of glasses neither of which really worked. I wear high prescription progressives which makes things extra challenging. I wish I had found Lansdale Optical sooner! Wonderfully knowledgeable and welcoming. On a walk-in visit they efficiently determined which of my glasses actually matched the prescription and adjusted the frames for comfortable vision and fit. I broke my glasses at 4:00pm on a Friday, in a seemingly irreparable manner. There goes my weekend, right? My prescription was also expired, and my previous doctor (I also just moved to this area) said policy had changed and they could only snail mail it. I called LensCrafters, who said they could only help with a prescription, and I called here. Here they told me they’d see what they could do. I almost didn’t go in thinking it was impossible, but I went. They checked my glasses and agreed, irreparable. Not sure how someone local could be better. So kind. Suuuuuuper patient and accommodating. They got me in within 20 minutes? I wasn’t even gonna call bc I figured it was impossible. I am sooo happy with this place. I was discouraged after I called Lens Crafters and they told me they didn’t really have or do glasses in a day or hour much anymore. So- this place was a pleasant surprise.
