Last Thursday my worst nightmare happened. My five year old dog went in for a foreign body surgery at our regular vet and it turned out to actually be a hole in her duodenum, which required specialized surgery that her vet had never done before. We were sent to Metro where we met Dr. Guant who was very compassionate towards my husband, myself, and our dog Laika. He explained what was going to happen, gave the estimate, and thoroughly answered our questions. We felt very comfortable leaving Laika there and driving the hour home.

we unexpectedly had to put our baby of almost 13 years down a week and a half ago after discovering she had severe gall bladder disease. the decision was not easy and the doctors and staff at metro were so amazing and kind from beginning to end. during what was an insanely difficult time they never rushed us and made accommodations beyond the normal “rules”. they were upfront and honest from the beginning about the options for our little girl and the risks because of her age/condition. we are forever grateful for the peaceful way we were able to send chanel to the other side. thank you MVA ❤
