I am a Pitt nurse, both Bachelor's and Master's degrees and I've been adjunct faculty in the School of Nursing for 40 years. I would hope that a university hospital, where I have spent countless professional hours, would provide proper care for my daughter, but that was not the case x 3. First my 20 something daughter found a breast lump. Magee responded to her PCP and got her in for a mammogram within a couple of days. When a week elapsed and after countless phone calls for an interpretation, with no call-backs, she finally permitted me, her mother to intervene. Wonderful experience! They have a program for patients that will send a car to get you and return you afterwards (for free)! I was able to have a catscan done quickly in the middle of my workday without any worries about transportation. Highly recommended!
