“To all my curly headed girls debating on whether or not to get that silk press: DO IT!!! I booked an appointment with Israel and expressed how nervous/anxious I was because of my salon trauma. I went over 6 years without straightening my hair because a Dominican blowout killed my curls and I had irreversible heat damage that I had to grow out. Israel was so understanding and treated my type 4A hair with a lot of care. I left feeling so beautiful and confident. My silk press lasted me 2 weeks! I waited until I washed my hair to leave a review in order to make sure my curls returned. My curls came back like nothing happened. This will be the only place I trust to properly take care of my hair and I will be coming back multiple times a year for a silk press. At Pinkies and Toes we were greeted with friendly faces, they took my daughter first for her back to school nails and squeezed me in for my pedicure as well. Throughout the whole process she asked me many questions to make sure that I was completely satisfied with my services. When having curly hair, it is difficult to go to a salon or a stylist that you can trust because they tend to always cut off more than you want.
